Introduction

The 4th Batch of Induction Training of Lecturers has begun at PHEC’s Staff Development Academy, Lahore. The training that started on 6th of August is being attended by 112 newly inducted college lecturers from 5 divisions of Punjab. Faculty Pedagogy Skill Program at PHEC’s Staff Development Academy is a meritorious initiative of Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) in support with Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab.

An Interactive Session

On 11 August 2018, SDA was privileged to have Prof. Dr Muhammad Nizamuddin (Chairperson Punjab Higher Education Commission) and Prof. Dr Rauf-i-Azam (Vice Chancellor, University of Education) for an interactive session with trainees as part of the training program. This session provided trainees an opportunity to dialogue and discuss the practical issues pertaining to higher education in public sector colleges of Punjab. Dr. Nizam also spoke about the initiatives taken by PHEC in raising the standards of higher education in the province. Dr. Rauf-i- Azam explained the discourse of learning with an impact to create meaningful change in the holistic development of students.

The session was also attended by Miss Zia Batool (DG, PHEC), Mr Anees Sadozai (DG, PHEC).

Closing Ceremony of the 4th Batch of Inducton Training at PHEC

On 18 August 2018, the closing ceremony for the fourth batch of Faculty Pedagogy Skills was organized in collaboration of Higher Education Department of Punjab and Punjab Higher Education Commission at University of Education. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Prof. Zafar Anayat Anjum, Director Colleges Lahore was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Miss Zia Batool, Director General PHEC along with Mr Tahir Bashir Director Training were also present.

Certificates were distributed by the end of the ceremony.
