Introduction

In continuation of the induction training of public sector college faculty (BPS-17) in Punjab, the 5th batch commenced its training on the 10th of September, 2018 at PHEC’S Faculty Development Academy (FDA), Lahore. This two week training was attended by 37 college lecturers from 9 divisions of the Province.

Closing/Certificate Distribution Ceremony of the Induction Training of College Faculty (BPS-17) from Public Sector Colleges in Punjab

The closing ceremony for the fifth batch of Induction Training of College Faculty (BPS-17) from Public Sector Colleges in Punjab was organized at PHEC’s Faculty Development Academy in collaboration with Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Prof. Dr Rauf-I-Azam, Vice Chancellor, University of Education, Lahore, Prof. Dr Najma Najam, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Karakoram, Gilgit, and Prof. Dr Faiz-ul-Hassan, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Education, Lahore, graced the ceremony with their presence along with Director Training, PHEC Mr. Tahir Bashir.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Faiz ul Hassan emphasized the need of continuous professional development and urged the participants to learn from the experiences of their colleagues. Prof. Dr. Najma Najam shared her experiences of education, learning and development in higher education sector. Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam stressed the need of active learning blended with innovation, thinking and creativity. Certificates were distributed by the end of the ceremony.
