Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) organized online training (via Microsoft Team) on “Effective Teaching & Learning: Tools & Techniques” for Public Sector College Lecturers and Assistant Professors of Vehari District from Monday, April 19 , 2021, to Friday, April 23, 2021. The major topics in which training was imparted included Prospects and Challenges in the implementation of semester system in colleges, Establishing learning assessment process inside classroom, University- Colleges relationship (Semester system & assessment policies), Communication as a tool for effective interpersonal engagement, Communication barriers, and their impact on learning and their remedial strategies, Techniques of Presentation Skills, Professional tricks to prepare presentation material with effective audio/ visual aids. The resource persons for the training included Dr. Shahid Imran (Professor at UET), Dr. Muhammad Amjad (Professor at UET), Dr. Fahad Noor (Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering, UET, Lahore), Dr. Tanveer Iqbal (Chairman/Associate Professor, Chemical, Polymer & Composite Materials Engineering Department, UET Lahore), Dr. Tayyaba Tamim (Associate Professor, LUMS), Dr. Ali Sajid (Director, Lahore School of Professional Studies), Ms. Sadia Saeed Freelance Trainer, Dr. Mehwish Raza (Dean of Education at FCCU, Lahore), Dr. Farhana Khurshid (Assistant Professor, FJWU), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ijaz Butt (Principal, Govt College Township Lahore) and Prof. Dr. Najma Najam (Founding VC Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi).
