The Government of Punjab through the Punjab Higher Education Commission intends to launch a unified Online Admission System for HEIs of Punjab. This system aims at streamlining the admission process through a unified platform for all public and private sector Universities/Institutions. It has been designed as an open communication model, making the admission system more transparent by maintaining and validating the data accordingly. The system will help in increasing enrollment of HEIs admissions by allowing an increased number of applicants and providing more opportunities for students seeking entrance into tertiary education.

The first training session took place at the Faculty Development Academy at PHEC. Representatives from all the universities of Punjab participated in the inaugural training session. The participants were briefed about the system and a demonstration was given.

Addressing the training session, Ms. Zia Batool (Director General, PHEC) said that students would not have to face any kind of difficulty for the admission process under the online central system Punjab, as it would be easily accessible. This initiative would provide students with admission services all across Punjab in a unified manner on the same platform allowing students to apply at their convenience in any program of any university.
