Launching of Staff Development Academy

The Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) established the first-ever state-of-the-art Staff Development Academy (SDA) in Punjab with the collaboration of Higher Education Department(HED) and the Government of the Punjab under the Faculty Pedagogy Skill Programme of the Punjab government at the cost of Rs. 200 million at the University of the Education, Township Campus. Punjab Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani inaugurated the academy. The Chairperson PHEC Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin was also present.
The PHEC aims to train 21,000 college teachers and 10,000 university teachers. The ultramodern infrastructure of the academy is equipped with training rooms, seminar rooms, library, computer laboratories and a residential facility to provide a conducive learning environment to the trainees.
