Punjab Higher Education Commission has organized One-day Capacity Development Training Workshop on “HEC’s Ranking Metrics and Research Data Extraction and Management” for the Officers and Staff Members in QEC Directorate of Public Sector Universities of Punjab. The inaugural session held at Information Technology University (ITU). As many as 49 faculty members from different universities of Punjab attended the training workshop. Chairperson PHEC, addressed the participants in the concluding ceremony and distributed certificates among training participants. Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir emphasized the importance of integrating IT-embedded services into QEC office matters. He also shared the Commission’s proposal to improve the international ranking of the University of the Punjab. To achieve this goal, he urged the QEC departments to align with international QEC standards and implement them in their respective institutes.

The CPD program aimed to enhance the professional skills and knowledge of the participants in quality assurance and institutional improvement, fostering a culture of excellence in higher education. The training equipped the attendees with essential tools, best practices, and skills to assess and enhance the quality of education and administrative processes within their institutions. Through collaboration and evidence-based decision-making, the program aimed to drive continuous improvement in the education sector. I am pleased to see that this workshop has provided them with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in this area.
