Description
The 11th Batch of the three-day Faculty Development Program on ‘Use of Generative AI in Higher Education,’ organized by the Punjab Higher Education Commission-PHEC commences today at picturesque campus of the Kohsar University Murree. The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Mansoor Ahmad Baluch, Chief Operating Officer PHEC, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Fayyaz ur Rehman from the University of Sargodha serves as the resource person, offering valuable insights into the application of Generative AI in higher education. The program has drawn the participation of 40 individuals eager to explore the potential of AI in educational settings.
The closing ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Syed Habib Bokhari, Vice Chancellor KUM, and Engr. Dr. Mansoor Ahmad Baluch, Chief Operating Officer PHEC. Accompanied by were Dr. M. Asif Munir, Director PHEC, Mr. Jawad Amir Malik, Dy; Director PHEC, and Mr. Shahid Imran, Assistant Director PHEC. During the three days, Dr. Fayyaz ur Rehman, the resource person, engaged with the faculty members and mentored them on harnessing the potential and ethical use of artificial intelligence in higher education teaching learning process. Certificates were also distributed among the participants.
The training program aimed to provide participants with a deep understanding of generative artificial intelligence in higher education. Attendees will gain practical skills to enhance teaching, learning, and research using AI. The focus is on fostering an environment for creative content generation, personalized learning, and ethical deployment of AI tools in the evolving educational landscape.
