Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Chairperson, PHEC, presided over a meeting to discuss the establishment of a Center of Excellence in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Punjab that would enhance the use of IT in higher education in Punjab, and these center would serve as a hub for innovation and research in this field. The attendees of the meeting included Prof. Dr. Adnan Noor Mian, the Acting Vice Chancellor of the Information Technology University of Punjab, Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood, the Director of the Al-Khwarizmi Institute of Computer Science at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahzad Sarwar, the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Dr. Mansoor Ahmad Baluch, the Chief Operating Officer of PHEC, and Mr. Nouman Maqbool Rao, the Director of Planning and Development at PHEC.
