Punjab Higher Education Chairman Dr. Shahid Munir presented a 34-point peace formula for promoting peace and tolerance in universities.
Chairperson of Punjab HEC, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir has said that respect for humanity and tolerance are the hallmarks of an educated society. Higher education cannot be promoted without peace and tolerance. Harmony and equality are indispensable for the development of nations. PHEC has presented a 34-point peace formula for promoting peace and tolerance in universities. He expressed these views while addressing the Vice Chancellor’s National Peace Conference.

The theme of the conference “Academic Discourse on Countering Extremism: The Way Forward,” is an important milestone in the implementation of the Peace, Advocacy, and Community Engagement Through Tolerance Project, which is a policy initiative of HEC Pakistan, NECTA, SFEA, and others. is built on the basis of collaboration between different levels of stakeholders.

Dr. Shahid Munir said that developed countries have think tanks that prepare recommendations in light of the challenges faced and bring their countries out of crises. We need a “moral think tank” of experts in our country to make recommendations and act as role models for building a balanced society. We have to promote peace and tolerance to eradicate intolerance in society.
