Chairman PHEC attended the first meeting of the Education Reforms Committee at the Governor House Lahore

Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Chairman PHEC attended the first meeting of the Education Reforms Committee, which is constituted to address the problems of private sector universities in Punjab. The meeting was held at the Governor House Lahore, chaired by Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar. President of Pakistan Arif Alvi also attended the meeting. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar said that promotion of higher education sector in Punjab is the priority of present government and the government is well aware of the problems of the private universities and today’s meeting show that the government is working for the betterment of the private universities. Speaking on the occasion, President Arif Alvi said that under the Public Private Partnership, there are innumerable opportunities for development in the education sector. The President praised the efforts of the private sector and said that with the combination of public and private universities, there could be a revolution in higher education sector in Punjab in the coming years.
