Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Chairperson, PHEC, attended the 4th Convocation of GC Women University, Sialkot as a chief guest. Addressing the graduates Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir said that it is now time for you to pay back to society and your community. Graduation does not merely mean that you have accomplished a personal feast, in fact, the whole nation is looking towards you being the present as well as future of the nation. Your degree will be useful only when it contributes to overall national development. University education certainly leaves positive imprints on the personality and character of a graduate. This should now be reflected from your acts and deeds once you join professional and practical life.

He further said that The Punjab Higher Education Commission is committed to support universities and university campuses with well-equipped modern amenities to provide better access to higher education even in the rural areas of Punjab. This facilitation will also address the problem of rural to urban migration to a great extent and will lead to a national harmony. PHEC is also supporting universities of the Punjab in organizing conferences, workshops, symposiums and trainings. Similarly, the faculty members are also being offered travel grants to attend conferences abroad.
